Biography

Raised in Central Wisconsin, I developed an early interest in wildlife and spent much of my childhood exploring the woodlots and pastures of the area. I would spend many hours building feeders and traps for local wildlife.

I still have many of those black and white photos of wildlife taken with a Kodak Brownie camera. Although technology and the equipment have improved over the years, the excitement of waking at 3 AM to sit in a blind waiting for that close encounter with a wild creature has not faded for me. I have concentrated my efforts on photos of animals and birds from Wisconsin and Alaska, making three extended visits to Alaska in the past ten years

Taking pictures has always been personally satisfying for me. I have been fortunate to have my images published in calendars, note cards, and magazines. I enjoy participating annually in Fine Art shows throughout Wisconsin.
